Set against the stunning backdrop of Evermore Resort’s sparkling blue lagoon, Luau on the Lagoon was a tropical escape curated exclusively for top-tier meeting planners. As the sun dipped below the palm-fringed horizon, guests were transported to an energetic island celebration filled with colorful sights, captivating performances, and immersive hospitality.
Tropical magic met last-minute hustle for this stunning FAM welcome reception, planned in just a matter of weeks—and executed beautifully on the sands of a resort lagoon.
Designing events on the beach always presents a unique set of challenges, and this one was no exception. To bring our client’s vibrant luau vision to life, we had to get creative—especially with our lighting plan. With resort approval, we were able to secure string lighting to nearby trees, then softened and color-washed the effect using custom linens and colorful shades that reflected the natural hues of the surrounding water.
The result was a truly visually striking event, with every detail playing into the lush, tropical feel. Entertainment included authentic hula dancers, a live ukulele player, and even whimsical “giant flower” performers who added a splash of playful drama as guests entered the reception.
With limited time and a challenging landscape, this event was a reminder that a little creativity—and a lot of teamwork!—can turn a tight timeline into a tropical dream.
